ASK THE CHIEF!!!!!
AS I recieve questions from my clients, I will post them here to help all of you with the caring for your Tillies.
Chief why don't you glue your Tillies to their displays?
Great question. I don't glue my Tillies for two reasons.
1. Its not natural or a part of the Air Plant's normal existence.
2. It makes it a lot easier to soak the Tillies once a week if they are not glued down to their display.

Chief I'm going on vacation for two weeks and have no one to take care of my Tillies, what can I do?
Hooray you have vacation coming!!!!!! No worries just before you take off, soak your Tillies for 12 hours and place them in indirect light after they are dried out. When you return in two weeks, soak them again for 12 hours. They will be just fine.

Chief you told me I could apply a fertilizer to my Tillies but I do not know what to use or how much to use?
OK so first a little education. Tillies need Nitrogen for healthy leaves. Phosphorous for better flowering potential and Potassium for overall Plant health. You can find Tillandsias or Bromeliads fertilizer in Walmart or Lowes sometimes. The mixture must be 17-8-22, 17% Nitrogen, 8% Phosphorous and 22% Potassium. Use 1/4 teaspoon or 1/4 strength per gallon of water. I personally like the pump spray because it is already mixed and delivers the right amount once a month so as not to burn your Tillies.

Chief The Tillies I bought from you have a shinny sheen on the leaves, What's wrong with them?
Absolutely nothing..... The "Shinny Sheen" you see on the leaves are the Tillie's TRICHOMES. The Trichomes act like tiny sponges to absorb water.
